Brazilian Blowout Passes 24/24 Tests

The Following was taken directly from http://www.brazilianblowout.com/

"100% Pass Rate on Federal OSHA's Action Limit (AL), Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) and Short-Term Exposure Limit (STEL) safety levels.

Despite OSHA's recent reporting, it has now been shown that Brazilian Blowout has passed twenty-four out of twenty-four Federal OSHA air-monitoring studies with regards to the federally mandated Action Limit (AL).  Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) and Short-Term Exposure Limit (STEL).

The twenty-four tests, performed in strict adherence with agency protocol, were conducted in various salon settings and measured for the release of formaldehyde.

"Twenty-four out of twenty-four air monitoring tests fell below the federally mandated Action Limit (AL), Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) and Short-Term Exposure Limit (STEL) safety Levels.*

There were NO Federal OSHA violations with regards to the mandated Action Limit (AL), Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) or Short-Term Exposure Limit (STEL) when the Brazilian Blowout Professional Smoothing Solution was tested.

*Initially, one of the twenty-four tests conducted produced a level exceeding Federal OSHA's Short-Term Exposure Level. Immediate research revealed that the particular test was proven faulty, given it was conducted for a longer exposure time than the test required. The test was conducted once again on the same day, in the same salon setting using the proper exposure time. This test produced level falling, once again, below the Federal OSHA Short-Term Exposure Limit (see copy of faulty and corrected test data below).

The Air Sampling Report, from the testing performed on November 18, 2010, clearly shows that the test lasted 35 minutes, more than twice the amount dictated by the Code of Federal Regulations. Because this singular test more than doubled the statutory time period of 15 minutes, this test alone purports to demonstrate that 2.5249 parts of formaldehyde per million were off-gassed from the Brazilian Blowout Professional Smoothing Solution. Of the twenty-four air monitoring tests, only "this test" purports to demonstrate exposure above 2 parts per million, because it is the only test that was more than doubled to 35 minutes. Thus, these results are invalid and do not support any contention that more than 2 parts of formaldehyde per million have ever been off-gassed during the proper testing of the Brazilian Blowout Professional Smoothing Solution.

Note: The above information does not represent an approval or endorsement from OSHA."
